Following is a description of the events and speakers that will be part of the Haliburton Sportsmen's Show. Events with dates and times listed take place upstairs at the Dysart Arena. The others take place at their booths or as indicated.

Alex 'Moose Man' Gouthro is an outdoor author, photographer, videographer, and video producer from Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Aside from his writing, Alex is perhaps best known for his Moose Madness video productions related to moose, moose hunting, and moose calling. His six-hour instructional program, 'The Gouthro's Moose Madness Series On Moose Hunting & Calling', is now well-known to thousands of hunters. His latest production, a two-hour instructional DVD called the 'Gouthro's Moose Madness 'Quick-Fix' for The Hunter', was released in December, 2008, and won a National award in 2009.
As an outdoorsman, Alex thoroughly enjoys working with people, and shares his passion for hunting and other related topics through seminar delivery. These seminars, where appropriate, involve audience participation and are backed by action-packed video so that the audience gets to see what is being talked about. The audience always learns!

Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters - Since 1928, O.F.A.H. members have been the backbone of Ontario's fish and wildlife conservation work. From investing in the fish hatcheries, improving habitat, restoring wildlife and delivering youth programs, O.F.A.H. membership gets results. Over the years, the O.F.A.H. has invested millions of dollars into fish and wildlife research and restoration projects for wetlands, river restoration, hatchery development and a wide variety of project for species such as Trumpeter swans, spotted turtles, barn owls - not to mention elk, wild turkeys and Atlantic salmon.

Haliburton Highlands Outdoor Association - The HHOA has undertaken a number of fish and wildlife enhancement initiatives. With great success over the years, the HHOA runs a variety of programs on an annual basis and has participated in large community oriented programs such as Public Access Clean Up, Lost Dog Program and Emergency Deer Feeding.

Bruce Schneller, Certified Archery Coach, has over thirty-five years experience in Archery and Bowhunting. He took his formal training at the New England School of Archery and at the U.S. Olympic Training Centers in Chula Vista, California and in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bruce is Certified by the National Archery Association as a Level 3 Coach, is a High Performance Coach and is the proud recipient of the Larry Wallace Memorial Award for his many contributions to youth education from the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters.

10:00 am Saturday — The "BEST Method" to Prepare for Bowhunting - Shooting Form and Technique
Adrian J. Hare - Turkey Hunting Spring and Fall - Adrian J. Hare, one of Canada's most successful turkey hunters and guides, will cover the details of how a hunter can become successful in the turkey woods. As a Quakerboy Game Call and Realtree Outdoors Pro, Adrian spends most of the year travelling around the country talking turkey.
He will cover tips and strategies on fall turkey hunting, including the calls we need to use that will outsmart the hardest game bird there is to harvest.

WSC Survival School - David Arama ('The Survivorguy') has been teaching and leading outdoor programs for more than 30 years at community colleges, universities, district school boards, and city Parks and Recreation departments.
His teaching also extends to numerous clubs, business, and industry groups. David has numerous television and radio appearances on TSN's Great Outdoorsman Show, the Hunter & Angler Show, City TV's Breakfast Television, the Weather Network News, Global TV News (survival tips), and FAN Radio. He has also written numerous newspaper articles concerning Wilderness Survival and Preparedness. In addition to his media appearances, he also presents seminars and workshops at conferences and public shows such as the Ontario Out-of-Doors Annual Hunting and Fishing Show, the Toronto Sportmen's Show, and the Outdoor Adventure Show.
